Buchanan's Green Seal is a blended Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV and launched in 2025 as a permanent addition to the Buchanan's range. It was created by Master Blender Craig Wallace.
The blend is built around a Glen Elgin single malt that had not been released before, made with an experimental wine yeast and matured in American oak bourbon casks alongside other experimental stocks. Its peat character is more subdued than in other Buchanan's luxury blends.
Tasting notes describe tropical fruit, citrus, vanilla, toffee and apricot jam on the nose, with milk chocolate, warm wood spices and dried fruit on the palate, and a gently sweet finish of toffee, apricot and soft oak spice.
