Buffalo Trace Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Buffalo Trace is a bourbon bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a smooth, rich and dependable bourbon with a rye component that shows in the spice. The nose is described as sunny sawdust, spicy buttered caramel and a hint of deep raisin, with buttered corn and brown sugar also noted. On the palate, clove and nutmeg come first, followed by sweet corn, vanilla wafer and a touch of bitter cocoa nib. Baked pecan, toasted coconut and cream are also mentioned, and the finish carries a note of stone fruit.
