Buffalo Trace – Kosher Wheated Kentucky Bourbon (75cl, 47%)

This Kentucky wheated bourbon was made by Buffalo Trace Distillery in partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council. It uses the same grains as W.L. Weller and was aged for seven years before bottling at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey matured in barrels designated as kosher. To meet Passover requirements, the barrels were sold to a non-Jewish executive in a ceremony witnessed by a council representative, and the bottling lines were cleaned beforehand to avoid contact with non-kosher spirits. It is released each year after Passover.
