An unaged white whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, bottled at 62.5% ABV in a 375ml bottle. It is the distillate made from the distillery's Mash Bill #1, a mix of corn, rye and malted barley, and it goes from the still to the bottle without time in oak.
This is the same spirit that later becomes Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare and George T. Stagg once it enters the barrel.
The nose is sweet corn and cereal grain with a little baking spice, bread dough and a hint of banana. The palate is oily and creamy, with candy corn sweetness and a peppery rye bite, and the finish is long and warming.
