O.F.C. Vintage 2006 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, part of its vintage-dated O.F.C. series. It was distilled in 2006 and matured for approximately 18 years in American white oak barrels, then bottled at 45% ABV. It comes in a hand-cut crystal decanter.
The nose is dark cherry, caramel, vanilla bean and old oak, with leather, tobacco leaf and a hint of dried fig or raisin. The palate is silky, with dark chocolate, toasted nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa, leather, molasses and soft spice.
