Stagg Batch 26A is a bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled uncut and unfiltered at high natural barrel strength. It carries no age statement and is made from a mash of corn, rye and malted barley.
This batch is bottled at a notably high proof. The nose is concentrated, with brown sugar, cherry cola and grape. The palate is clean and focused, built around warming brown sugar rather than heavy oak or char.
The finish is warming and clean, with a subtle metallic tang.
