A ten-year-old high-rye bourbon from Bulleit, bottled at 45.6% ABV. The mash bill is about 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whiskey spends its ten years in charred American white oak barrels.
It keeps the brand's spice and rye character, with oak, vanilla and dried fruit added by the extra time in wood.
The nose is toasted oak and vanilla bean with fig, raisin and a hint of light smoke. The palate opens with vanilla and caramel, then baking spices, light cherry or apricot, and leather. The finish is medium to long, with lingering spice, oak tannin, a touch of smoke and dried fruit.
