Bulleit '87 Frontier Whiskey is an American blend of bourbon and rye whiskies, finished with toasted staves. It is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Shelbyville, Kentucky, and draws on the frontier spirit of Bulleit, established in 1987.
The nose offers brown sugar caramel, toasted oak, vanilla and light spice. On the palate come caramel, sweet grain, toasted wood, baking spice and a mellow rye note, and the finish is warm and lingering with soft oak and spice.
