Bulleit '87 Frontier Whiskey is a blend of bourbon and rye whiskeys, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is finished with toasted staves, which add depth and warmth to the blend.
The bourbon contributes sweetness and body, while the rye brings spice and structure. It can be sipped neat or over ice, or used in cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan.
The nose offers caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and toasted oak with light rye spice. The palate is smooth, with warm caramel, cinnamon and a gentle rye edge, and the medium finish is warming, with oak and soft spice.
