Bulleit '87 Frontier Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Bulleit '87 Frontier Whiskey is a blend of bourbon and rye whiskies finished with toasted staves, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is named for the year Bulleit was founded. The blend sets the sweetness of bourbon beside the spice of rye, and the toasted-stave finish adds richness and oak character. On the nose there is warm brown sugar, caramel, toasted oak and light spice. The palate is smooth and layered, with caramel, sweet grain, toasted wood and mellow rye, and the finish is warm and rounded, with soft oak, baking spice and rich sweetness.
