Bulleit Bourbon (75cl, 45%)

Bulleit Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45% ABV. Its mash bill is high in rye: 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, made with Kentucky limestone-filtered water. The recipe comes from the family of Augustus Bulleit, a Louisville tavern keeper in the 1830s, and was revived by his great-great-grandson Tom Bulleit in the late 1980s. It carries no age statement. The distillery describes a medium-amber bourbon with gentle spice and sweet oak on the nose. The palate is smooth, with maple, oak and nutmeg, and the finish is long, dry and satiny with a light toffee note.
