Bulleit is a Kentucky bourbon made from corn, rye and malted barley, with a generous share of rye behind its spicy character. The bottle itself recalls the medicine and syrup bottles used in nineteenth-century Kentucky.
The whisky spends six years in new American white oak casks with a deep char.
The nose is rich and broad, with woody notes alternating with spice and fruit and a delicate hint of honey. The palate is full-bodied and dry, and the finish carries a light touch of spice.
