Bulleit Bourbon (45%)

Bulleit Bourbon is a bourbon inspired by the whiskey pioneered by Augustus Bulleit over 150 years ago. It is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV). The mash bill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, and the high rye content gives it a bold, spicy character. Special strains of yeast and Kentucky limestone filtered water are used. Medium amber in colour, it has a gentle spiciness and sweet oak on the nose. The palate is smooth, with maple, oak and nutmeg, leading to a long, dry, satiny finish with a light toffee flavour.
