Bulleit Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Bulleit Distilling facilities in Shelbyville and Lebanon, Kentucky.
The mashbill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, which gives it one of the higher rye contents among major bourbons. It is aged for at least six years in new charred American oak barrels.
Tasting notes describe maple, light toffee, nutmeg and orange peel on the nose. The palate brings vanilla, caramel, dried apricot and honey, followed by rye spice and toasted oak, and the finish is long, dry and satiny with a trace of black pepper.
