Bulleit Mesquite Smoked Bourbon (75cl, 46.5%)

A Kentucky bourbon from Bulleit, made with a smoked grain bill. The mash bill is 65% corn, 30% mesquite-smoked malt and 5% distiller's malt, bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof) in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle. The smoked malt gives it a savoury, barbecue-style smoke alongside the sweetness of the corn. On the nose there is mesquite smoke, toasted grain and light caramel. The palate brings sweet tea-like notes, gentle vanilla and a little spice, and the finish is long and smoky, with light oak and a delicate sweetness.
