Bulleit Rye is an American rye whisky in a 70cl bottle at 45% abv. Rye is the main grain in the mash, which gives it a bold, spicy character, and it has matured in American oak.
On the nose there is black pepper and dried fruit, followed by vanilla and honey. The palate opens rich in spice with the rye to the fore, then moves to dark chocolate, nutmeg and a little smoky wood, with a caramel-like sweetness softening it. The finish is long.
