Bumbu XO is a Barbados rum and the second step up from the Original in the distillery's range. It is made from a selection of sugar cane varieties from the Caribbean and South America, following a traditional recipe.
The spirit is distilled in continuous stills, then aged for 15 years in ex-Bourbon and Sherry oak casks. Before bottling it is reduced in strength with pure Barbados spring water.
Amber in colour, it smells of toffee, toasted oak and vanilla. The palate brings orange peel and peppery spice, and the finish is long.
