Bunnahabhain – 10 Year Old G&M Discovery (70cl, 43%)

A ten-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery range, which began in 2018. This is a heavily peated expression, marked by the beige spout that the range's colour code uses for smoky whiskies. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtering. The nose is bold and sweet, with lemon cream, sea spray, seaweed and medium peat smoke. The palate has lime, lemon, pear, raisin, leather, liquorice and peat smoke. The finish is long and soft, with oak spice, cigar aroma, smoke and charcoal.
