Bunnahabhain 11 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the distillery on the island's north-east coast, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery Range. It has been matured in oak casks for 11 years.
Bunnahabhain is known for less heavily peated whisky than many of its island neighbours, with a softer, more maritime character.
The nose offers dried fruits, toasted nuts, honey and sea breeze. The palate is creamy malt with dark chocolate, caramelised sugar and subtle coastal smoke, and the finish is long and warming, with sea salt, spice and soft sherried sweetness.
