This is the 2025 edition of Bunnahabhain's annual 12 year old cask strength release, bottled at 56.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has natural colour and is not chill filtered.
The whisky was matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks. Bunnahabhain stands on the north-east coast of Islay and is known for predominantly unpeated malt, which leaves the casks to shape the whisky.
It is described as showing dried fruit, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, caramel, citrus peel, warming spice and a light coastal saltiness.
