Bunnahabhain 12 Years Old Cask Strength 2021 is an Islay single malt, bottled on 18 August 2021 at 55.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the Cask Strength Edition 2021.
The whisky matured mainly in first- and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks, with a small share of bourbon barrels used to balance the flavours. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
Creamy milk chocolate, red berries and sweet dried fruit on the nose are balanced by classic Oloroso sharpness and a hint of cloves. Roasted nuts, salted caramel and chocolate-covered raisins mingle with crisp apple, pears poached in syrup and a pinch of cinnamon.
