This is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at 46.3% in a 75cl bottle. It spent ten years in ex-bourbon casks and a further three in Marsala casks, which previously held Sicily's fortified wine. The spirit is unpeated and non-chill-filtered.
It was made for the US market, announced in November 2016, in a run of 250 cases.
The tasting notes describe a honeyed, resinous and fruity malt, with red berries and port-like tones from the Marsala casks, and a salty finish.
