This is a 16 year old Bunnahabhain from Islay, a limited edition of 250 bottles selected for Feis Ile 2016. It was bottled by the distillery at 54.1% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was first filled into bourbon casks and matured there for 10 years. It then spent a further 6 years in Amontillado casks, which are valued for the dried fruit, roasted nut and spice character they can give.
