Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt from a distillery established in 1881 near the northern mouth of the Sound of Islay. It is a non-chill filtered whisky in a 70cl bottle, at 46.3%.
The colour is rich mahogany with golden highlights. The nose has salted caramel, dried fruit, honeyed nuts and leather, with a light sea spray note. The body is dense and oily, with sweet sherry, roasted chestnuts, dark chocolate and coastal salinity. The finish is long, dry and warming, with oak spice, nutmeg and a faint marine tang.
