Bunnahabhain – 18 Years Old

Bunnahabhain 18 Years Old is an Islay single malt matured for eighteen years in sherry casks, which give it a deep mahogany colour. The distillery's warehouses sit along the shore, beside a bay fed by the Sound of Islay, and the maturation by the coast shows in a slight tang of salt on the palate. The nose is fragrant, with dried fruit, honeyed nuts, toffee and a little spice. Sherried nuts, dried fruit and rich oak follow on the palate, and the finish is dry and fruity with spice and salt.
