This is a single cask Bunnahabhain from 1979, bottled for Berrys' Own Selection. It was selected by Douglas McIvor.
The whisky matured for 32 years in a first fill sherry cask and is full in body.
The nose is rich in dried fruit and marzipan, with coffee and nut. The same flavours return on the palate, full and rounded, with a warming character. The sherry cask is clearly noticeable on both nose and palate, alongside a slightly maritime note.
