This is a 23-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled for Fèis Ìle 2022. It was distilled on 28 October 1998 and bottled in 2022 at 49.7% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. The whisky had a two-year finish in Calvados casks.
On the nose there are ripe apples and pears, sweet dates and a light touch of pine. The palate is full and oily, with toffee, dried fruit and cereal alongside green apple and pear. The finish is long and spicy, with the fruity Calvados notes fading slowly.
