This is a 23-year-old Bunnahabhain bottled for Feis Ile 2024, the Islay festival. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2023 at 53.3%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
After its main maturation the whisky was finished in three types of sherry cask in turn: Amontillado, Manzanilla and Oloroso.
The nose shows dried fruit, spice and fine sherry character with a light sea breeze. The palate is rich and full, with nuts, chocolate and sweet sherry notes. The finish is long and warming, with a touch of oak and gentle sweetness.
