This Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1999 and matured for ten years before being finished in three sherry casks in sequence: Amontillado, then Oloroso, then Manzanilla. The finishing lasted seven years, making twenty-three years in all. It is an unpeated Islay malt, bottled at a cask strength of 53.3%, non-chill filtered and with no added colour. It is one of 4,002 individually numbered bottles in the Feis Île 2024 festival release and is not part of the standard range. The nose offers almond pastries, sweet berries, fudge, rose petals and desiccated coconut. The palate brings vanilla pods, butterscotch, strawberries, honeyed cashews, wood spice and a little tobacco. The finish is dry, with pine needles and blackcurrants.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
