Bunnahabhain 25 Year Old is an unpeated Islay single malt, matured for twenty-five years in sherry casks and bottled at 46.3% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and at natural colour.
Bunnahabhain stands on the Sound of Islay, at the island's most northerly distillery, and was established in 1881. Its spirit is unpeated, so the sherry casks shape the character.
The nose is rich sherry opening to sweet caramel and polished leather. The palate offers sweet berries and cream, developing to roasted nuts and malt. The finish is soft and dry, with lingering sweet sugar and spiced oak.
