Bunnahabhain – 40 Year Old Rare Find (70cl, 45.2%)

This is a 40 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at 45.2% in a 70cl bottle as part of the Rare Find series. The nose is led by citrus: tangerines and Seville orange marmalade, with apples and flaky pastry drizzled in syrup, then nougat and soft coastal aromas. On the palate come red berries and tropical fruit alongside shortbread, a little ginger, and more orange, this time like sweet candied orange with a subtle lemon undertone.
