Bunnahabhain – 40 Year Old (70cl, 41.9%)

Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old is an unpeated Islay single malt, matured for 40 years in sherry casks and bottled at 41.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The casks were found by the distillery's blending team in the warehouse ledgers and sourced from the wine and spirits merchant JG Turney. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and each bottle is individually numbered. The nose is described as tropical fruit, banana, berries, creamy toffee, vanilla and rich nuttiness, with delicate sweet oak. On the palate come sweet malt, creamy caramel, toasted nuts, berries and pineapple, leading to a long, sweet, fruity finish.
