This is a 50 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, matured in a single sherry cask and bottled by Gleann Mor Spirits in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtering and with its natural colour.
The nose brings dried figs, dates and black cherries with polished oak, leather and tobacco leaf, plus roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate and a little maritime brine. The palate has plums, raisins, treacle toffee and honey-glazed walnuts, with vanilla, espresso bitterness and orange peel. The finish is very long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, aged oak and sea salt.
