Bunnahabhain – An Cladach (1L, 50%)

An Cladach is a single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, bottled at 50% in a one-litre bottle. The name is Gaelic for 'the shore' and refers to the bay beside the distillery, long used as a sheltered mooring when the North Atlantic turned rough. It is the third bottling in the distillery's travel retail range and is released in limited numbers each year. The nose brings dried plums, raisins, caramel, nuts and vanilla with rich sherry aromas. The palate is creamy and soft, almost plump, with sherry, nuts, dark chocolate, spice and a salty, maritime note. The finish is long, with nuts, chocolate and dried fruit.
