Bunnahabhain Aonadh is an unpeated Islay single malt that marries port-finished and sherry-cask Bunnahabhain. Aonadh is Gaelic for union. It was filled into cask on 7 February 2011 and bottled in April 2021 at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. The outturn was 14,088 bottles.
The whisky is non-chill filtered and has natural colour, with no added caramel.
The tasting notes describe creamy vanilla, brandy butter, caramel and berries on the nose, with a hint of oak. The palate brings red and black fruits, cinnamon, roasted nuts and a slight saltiness. The finish is long, with fading spice reminiscent of chilli chocolate and floral candy.
