This Bunnahabhain was released for the 2021 Fèis Ìle, the Islay festival. The single malt was distilled on 8 October 2001 and bottled on 19 January 2021, at 19 years old and 53.6%, after a finish in Marsala casks. The outturn was 1,333 bottles.
The nose is dried fruit, honey and sour cherries, with a little red grape, walnut, liquorice and tobacco. The palate is sweet and dry at once, with stone fruit, red apple, vanilla, honey and cloves, and a touch of oak and roasted nuts. The finish is medium in length and dry, with tobacco, leather and spice.
