This Bunnahabhain is the Fèis Ìle 2022 edition, a single malt finished in Calvados casks and bottled at 49.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its colour is golden yellow.
The nose is led by barley sugar, pear drops and caramelised apples, followed by a burst of dates and a floral top note that recalls conifers. The palate is sweet and fruity, with plenty of green apple and pear, cereal character, the oily notes typical of Bunnahabhain, and more caramel mixed with nuts.
The finish is spicy and powerful, ending floral.
