This is a 21 year old Bunnahabhain single malt from Islay, bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It was finished for 21 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and the release is limited to 2,568 bottles.
The nose is described as rich dried fruits, treacle toffee and brown sugar, with walnut, leather and a hint of coastal air. On the palate come PX-soaked raisins and chocolate cherries, then roasted nuts, spiced oak and espresso. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, prunes and a touch of sea spray.
