Bunnahabhain – Small Batch 40 Year Old (70cl, 41.9%)

This is a 40 year old small batch single malt from Bunnahabhain, on the northern shore of Islay. It is bottled at 41.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Bunnahabhain is known for a gentler, largely unpeated house style. Here four decades of maturation bring a silky texture and layers of dried fruit and oak. The palate offers rich dried fruit, dark honey and toffee, with gentle oak and a touch of sea-salt minerality. The finish is very long, layered and mellow.
