Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dhà is a peated Islay single malt, bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The name is Scots Gaelic for 'Smoky Two'. It is the second of the distillery's peated Toiteach releases, made with a higher proportion of sherry casks than the first.
The whisky was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks in warehouses on Bunnahabhain Bay. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings peat smoke with sherry and rich oak. On the palate, warming peat opens into sweet Oloroso sherry, oak and a little pepper, leading to a robust, lingering finish.
