Bushmills – 10 Year Old Amarone Casks Finish Irish Single Malt (75cl)

This is a 10 year old Irish single malt from the Bushmills Private Reserve Collection, a series of small batch whiskeys given individual cask finishes. It is first matured in bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks, then finished in Amarone red wine casks from Verona, Italy. It comes in a 75cl bottle. The nose is rich with dark fruits, cinnamon and warm vanilla. On the palate there are cherry, blackberry, damson and plum, with caramelised sugar. The finish begins mellow and ripe with fruit, then turns long and dry.
