Bushmills – 16 Year Old Single Malt

Bushmills 16 Year Old is an Irish single malt matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and casks seasoned with bourbon. After roughly 15 years in those casks, the whisky spends about nine months in port pipes, the large barrels used for making port wine. It is described as layered, with juicy fruit, nuts and spice, and a faint ruby tinge to the colour. Drinking it neat is suggested, perhaps with one small cube of ice to open it up.
