This is a 16-year-old Irish whisky from Bushmills, in a 70cl bottle. It matures in three types of cask that previously held bourbon, port and sherry, which bring notes of fruit, nuts and spice.
The nose is sweet, with caramel, raisins, honey, vanilla and citrus, and a hint of cloves. On the palate come apple and pear, raisins and cherries, with honey and toffee, then oak, orange peel and dried fruit. The finish is sweet and of medium length, with caramel, malt, oak, vanilla and a touch of smoke.
