Bushmills 21 Years is an Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills distillery in County Antrim. It is triple distilled in small copper stills and released in a limited number of bottles, each one numbered.
Of its 21 years in cask, at least 19 were spent in ex-oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks, and 2 in ex-madeira casks.
The nose is aromatic, with raisin and hazelnut, followed by caramel and dark chocolate. The palate is soft and spiced, and the long finish closes on mint and fresh liquorice.
