Bushmills – Black Bush 80/20 PX Sherry Cask Reserve

This is an Irish blended whiskey from Bushmills, a travel retail interpretation of the classic Black Bush. The 80/20 in the name refers to the blend: 80% single malt and 20% grain whiskey. The malt portion is matured in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, while the grain whiskey gives the blend a soft, balanced structure. The nose is rich with fruit cake, dried fruit, roasted nuts and deep sweetness. On the palate it is silky, with ripe peach, allspice, vanilla and dark caramel, leading to a medium-length finish of sherry sweetness.
