Bushmills – Original (70cl, 40%)

Bushmills Original is a blended Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It combines the distillery's own single malt with a lighter grain whiskey, and the recipe dates back to before Prohibition. The blend is triple distilled and matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It has a pale gold colour. The distillery traces its roots on the site to 1608. The nose is light, fruity and gently spicy. The palate is smooth, with velvety vanilla, honeyed sweetness and a soft warmth. The finish is crisp, with a hint of spice.
