Bushmills – Single Malt Causeway Collection Banyuls Cask Finish 8 Year Old (53.2%)

This is an 8 year old Bushmills single malt from the Causeway Collection, launched in 2020. It was the first Bushmills release at barrel strength for 15 years, and is bottled at 53.2%. The whiskey first matured in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry barrels. It was then married in casks that previously held Banyuls, a red dessert wine from the French Pyrenees described as reminiscent of aged port, and stayed there for just over two and a half years. Only 1500 bottles were produced.
