Bushmills Three Wood is an Irish single malt, bottled after 16 years of maturation at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The name refers to the three casks it has spent time in: bourbon, sherry and port.
The nose is layered, with marzipan, vanilla and citrus fruit alongside sweet oak. On the palate it is full-bodied, with marzipan again, heather honey and a light nuttiness, then caramelised fruit towards the back. The finish is long, with light chocolate and sweet fruit that gradually turns dry.
