Bushwood Front 9 7 Year Old is a single barrel straight bourbon, distilled and bottled in Kentucky and sold in a 75cl bottle at 47.5% ABV. It is the first release in the Bushwood Front 9 Series, with golf-inspired branding.
The bourbon was aged for exactly seven years in new charred American oak. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and it is non-chill filtered.
The nose shows light fruits, honey-roasted peanuts, maple, vanilla and caramel. The palate is velvety, with butterscotch, toffee, candied citrus peel, roasted almonds and a hint of mint. The medium to long finish combines peppery rye spice with oak and stewed cherries.
