Bushwood Stillwater Rye Whiskey (75cl, 47.5%)

Bushwood Stillwater Rye Whiskey is a Kentucky single barrel rye at 47.5% ABV, hand bottled by Bushwood Spirits in a 750ml bottle. The brand has a golf theme, and the name Stillwater nods to the Monterey Peninsula. The mash bill is unusually low in rye for the category, at 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley. It was matured in charred American oak and won Double Gold at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The nose offers caramelised apples and finely ground nutmeg. The palate has candied citrus and tropical fruit over a gentle sweetness, and the finish is long and smooth.
